Last weekend was a long weekend here so we decided to take advantage of the extra day off and do a fun Winter activity! To be honest, I’m definitely over the cold at this point, but because my boyfriend and I have been so busy with the move and other things the last few months, we haven’t had time to just relax and let off some steam. So we thought it would be perfect to head up to Blue Mountain with two of our good friends over the long weekend and get some skiing in! We had so much fun getting in some runs on the hills. It was just what we needed after the craziness of the last several months.

We ended up arriving super early in the morning so we decided to snap these pictures by the lake at the ski resort before the crowds came in. To match the Wintery scene, I wanted to sport this amazing printed woven jacket. It has snowflakes and some random patterns throughout which makes it perfect for this time of year, but I love that the colours are not that Wintery at all. Since the jacket is such a statement piece on its own, I kept the rest of the outfit simple with my favourite pair of high rise vintage jeans and a plain crop top. For shoes, I wore my white chunky patent leather booties, which just like my platform Doc Martens, I love to pair with everything from dainty slip dresses to jeans and a tee. Of course, this outfit was just for these pictures (I definitely would not survive actually skiing in this!!). Afterwards, I changed into snow pants and a puffer jacket which was not worthy of shooting haha.

To go along with the Winter vibe this week, I HAVE to feature The 1975’s new song “Me & You Together Song”. The very first time I heard this song, it was like nostalgia hit me in the face and transported me back to all my favourite early 2000s teen rom coms. This is the exact song I would picture in one of those movies playing during the ending credits. I love that the band is not afraid to experiment with their sound to keep it fresh and exciting. This song was definitely not what I was expecting from them, but I absolutely love it so I can’t complain! I highly recommend it if you miss that old school pop punk kinda of sound. Check it out below and let me know what you think!
