Fall Outfits Recap

How is it only a week and a half until Christmas?! I literally can’t believe how quickly the last two months have flown by. Fall is pretty much over and I hardly even had a chance to show you all my fall fits! The last little while has also been extremely busy for me with work and my boyfriend and I have also had a cold for the last two weeks as well. Which explains why I haven’t blogged in so long and I miss it. This week I thought I might as well just round up my fave outfits that I wore for the last few months before we get full on into winter and hiberation.

How GORGEOUS is this dress?! As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I actually wore this to my cousin’s wedding in October and it was the perfect dress for the occasion. The brown floral pattern is fall appropriate, the midi length is conservative enough for a wedding but the details in the bust and sleeves make this dress super flattering and pretty. I paired this with some tan leather booties to tie in all the warm neutral tones (and also cause it rained earlier in the day so I couldn’t be bothered with open toed shoes). And finally I finished off the outfit with a cream vintage Coach bag that my Grandma handed down to me several years ago. The wedding was during the day so a more casual bag like this fit the bill. I loved this outfit so much that I had to shoot it afterwards and I can’t wait to layer this dress for the colder weather!

I’m sure you’ve seen tons of these faux fur trim cardigans around recently. They’ve been a huge trend, especially the ones from House of Sunny. I absolutely love that brand and their sustainable practices, but I know sustainable fashion also comes with a higher price tag which not everyone can afford. If you’re looking for a more affordable option, the pink cardigan I’m wearing is from Zara. It’s the cutest thing ever! The fur collar feels so luxe and the colour is literally the perfect baby pink shade. I paired these with some high waisted denim flares for a sunset walk by the water. It was the perfect outfit and how fitting that I even matched the sunset sky and clouds! I’m missing these fall sunsets already.

The perfect casual fall outfit: jeans, a tank, and oversized button up. I wore this outfit on a little hike through a park in the city. First up, let’s talk about these amazing jeans! I’m obsessed with the brown stitching on them which gives them a low key western/cowboy vibe. I love my neutrals so I wanted to keep this entire outfit neutral so I paired it with a white ribbed tank that I wear with everything and an oversized tan button up that I thrifted a while back. I love throwing on button ups like this in the fall because it’s the perfect thing to layer over tees and tanks without it feeling too stuffy. Thrift shops always have the best selection of button ups in tons of sizes, colours and patterns so I definitely suggest checking there if you’re looking for one.

I guess it’s pretty obvious that the star of this outfit is my Prada nylon Re-edition bag! My boyfriend bought this for me for my birthday at the end of October and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since! I wear this bag with almost every outfit now. For this outfit, I really wanted to keep my whole look pretty neutral so that the bag could just shine on its own. The crop faux leather blazer is unfortunately old from Urban Outfitters and I love it cause the shape and fit is so unique for leather jackets! It also pairs well with high waisted wide-leg trousers like the one I’m wearing because the lengths balance out. Keep reading to see a few more outfits featuring my new baby…

Similar-ish outfit to the last one but I just had to show you guys these AMAZING asymmetrical trousers from Zara! Honestly these are probably the coolest pants I own. The asymmetrical waist has been a big trend on jeans but I haven’t seen them on trousers as much which is why I absolutely love these. Zara has them in a few different colours and fabrics so of course I also picked them up in a taupe colour as well. Again, my Prada bag pairs perfectly with these pants and I just wore a simple crop grey cardigan top to balance out the pants and bag.

The dreamiest Fall outfit this season was by far this one. I love wearing brown and neutrals in the Fall and this outfit is exactly that. The brown jacket is from Zara that I’ve had for a few years now, the plaid mini skirt is from Aritzia and it’s actually wool so is quite warm. I also decided to try out the huge sweater vest trend with this cute little brown one from Brandy. It’s a more fitted vest which is why I thought it worked so well with the oversized jacket on top. This day was actually really warm outside so I got away with going bare legged and just wearing my go-to pair of Doc Marten boots. We shot these photos at the dreamiest location – by Grenadier pond in High Park. This spot is so peaceful and serene and reminds me of something out of a painting. Can’t wait to come back here when it’s covered in snow – I think it’ll be just as pretty!

Blazer: Danielle Bernstein | Boots: Nasty Gal (old) | Bag: Louis Vuitton Pochette (vintage)

Another trend I absolutely loved this season was blazers! This one is from the Danielle Bernstein for Macy’s collection – you guys know I love her. Her style is impeccable and of course I always try to support anything that she does! I picked up this blazer from her Fall collection (which is now on sale!) along with the matching trousers (stay tuned to see how I style them separately). The blazer fits slightly oversized and since I’m on the shorter side (5’4) I can get away with wearing this as a mini blazer dress! To stay warm, I paired it with these knee-high black cowboy boots. I loved how this outfit turned out with the western vibe of the boots balancing out the more sophisticated, structure fit of the blazer. Like I mentioned, I also purchased the matching pants for this blazer so I can’t wait to wear them together next!

A very 70s fall outfit! This look features some of my recent vintage finds from some local Toronto vintage small business owners. We all know that this year has been tough for many, and it’s been extremely tough for small businesses that have been forced to shut down/can’t run their business normally. That’s why it’s so important to shop small especially this holiday season if possible! I wanted to share two of my faves for one-of-a-kind vintage pieces – Phoenix Vintage (where I got my swearer) and Lexi Luxe Vintage (where I got my leather jacket). They both have great pieces on their Etsy pages and if you’re from Toronto as well, check our their Instagram pages where they sell some more items too. I decided to pair both the sweater and jacket together as I think they both go so well and I love the colour palette. To keep going with the 70s vibe, of course I paired them with my white flare jeans and clogs. I love how this outfit turned out in the end and it’s probably one of my favourites that I got to wear this past season.

That’s a wrap on my fall looks! Now that it’s cold out and pretty much winter, stay tuned for some Winter outfits coming up next! Hope you all have an amazing holiday season. Sending love to everyone!
