Fall 2019 IT colour: Pistachio!

Whenever we think of fall colours, camel, brown, and perhaps cream may come to mind. Well if you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t noticed it yet, I’m here to give you the scoop on this season’s trendiest colour: pistachio! Not just known as my favourite type of tree nut anymore, the pistachio colour for this season is brighter than the pastel and mint greens we see in the Spring, but not quite as bright to be considered a neon. Pistachio strikes the perfect balance in between.

I was first inspired to put together a look with this trendy colour when I picked up these high-waisted pants from Aritzia. I immediately fell in love with the colour and the style. I will also say that these pants are so flattering and oh-so-comfortable due to the amount of stretch in them. Because I love this pistachio colour so much, I decided to take it to the next level and do a full pistachio outfit! The sleeveless sweater is one that I thrifted a few months ago. The shades are not exactly the same, but I love that they’re a bit off because it adds more dimension to the outfit. Same idea with the textures: the pants are a thick and sturdy canvas material which contrasts perfectly with the soft rib knit of the sweater top. Since I unfortunately do not own a pair of pistachio green shoes, I opted for these chunky black heels. Obviously black goes with everything, but especially with this outfit, the black heels help break up what could otherwise be an overwhelming outfit for some.

If this head-to-toe green outfit is too much, I would definitely just pair one pistachio piece with a white/cream colour or black. The pistachio pants with a cream sweater would be so cute and cozy for this time of year, or even just with a black leather jacket thrown on top of the whole look.
