It’s FINALLLY warm out on the first official weekend of summer! I am so so happy! To be honest, I thought this day would never come. So in honor of summer, I decided to wear my ultimate summer staple this week – a flowy and airy dress!

You guys know I love my dresses. In fact, I just cleaned out my closet the other day to make room for all my summer clothes, and I realized that about 75% of my summer wardrobe is just dresses. Short, midi, or maxi, I love a good dress in the summer. They’re so easy to throw on and you really don’t have to think too much about it. The more flowy it is, the better. All I care about is just being comfortable so that means airy and lightweight fabrics.

This dress from Reformation is my new favourite! It’s 100% linen which is the PERFECT material for summer because it’s so lightweight and breathable, despite it being a midi dress. I recently picked up this dress in the Reformation store when I was in LA, and let me tell you, I was so hesitant at first because we all know Ref ain’t cheap, but I’m so happy that I got it (even though my wallet may not be)! This dress is so cute and would be perfect for all kinds of occasions from a casual summer wedding to brunch with the girls and even to the beach!

When it comes to summer music, I love more upbeat, synth driven tracks. They always put me in a good mood and are perfect for driving with the windows down and the sun shining on your face. A song that I’ve been loving recently that is perfect for summer is Lost by Blake Rose. I actually just discovered him as per a friend recommendation and I am obsessed!! This song is actually more on the chill side but still upbeat enough to get you moving. I’ve been listening to all of Blake Rose’s other music after discovering his song Lost, and honestly, all his music is SO good. I feel like he’s going to be pretty big in a few years, so definitely get on it!
