How GLAM is this dusty pink faux fur coat?! A fellow blogger/Instagrammer was selling this on her Depop for only $40 and I picked it up immediately. I believe I mentioned it before, but this dusty rose colour is my absolute favorite colour ever!! The colour is perfect for Spring which makes this coat the perfect transition piece from Winter.

The weather is also finally starting to warm up, the days are longer, and I feel like I’ve seen the sun way more in the last two weeks than I have for the entirety of winter, which makes me so happy! I can’t wait to start wearing dresses and skirts again, so I thought I would whip one out for this week’s blog post. The midi dress that I’m wearing is actually vintage that I thrifted (what else is new). I adore beige and netural tones for the Spring because they’re so clean and fresh, but this dress has the most gorgeous floral pattern throughout in that same dusty pink colour, which matches perfectly with the coat! I love the way they paired together. The dress itself was also a bit big on me, so I simply belted it with one of my most worn vintage white leather belts at the waist, and pulled some of the fabric to drape on top. The end result is such a flattering shape, and so glamorous at the same time. I kept telling my boyfriend how chic I felt in this outfit haha. I can’t wait to keep styling this coat and I’ll definitely have it glued to my body until the weather becomes too unbearably warm to be appropriate to wear anymore.

This week’s song is an oldie but a goodie from a band that I’m sure most of you are familiar with – The Black Keys! Truth be told, I actually hadn’t listened to the Black Keys in a few years. After their last album in 2011, they kind of just fell off my radar. However, since I mentioned for the last two weeks how there’s been so much amazing new music out, The Black Keys also just released their new single Lo/Hi out of nowhere. And what a nice surprise it was! Totally caught me off guard but from the first listen, I loved it. It has so much of their original raw, gritty blues sound but combined with their newer more stadium rock sound. Since then, I’ve started listening to some of their old albums again now that they’re back on my radar.

But hands down, my favourite Black Keys album is 2004’s Rubber Factory so this is the one that I’ve been listening to on repeat the most. I forgot how much I love this album! One standout song is “Girl is on My Mind”, pretty sure this is a classic Black Keys song so if you don’t know it, get on it. I love how a little surprise like this allowed me to re-discover tunes that I was once obsessed with back in the day. The Black Keys also announced a huge tour which I would LOVE to go to. I saw them back in the day (and had PIT seats, how rad!!) and they were great, so would definitely love to check them out again. Take a listen to my favourite Black Keys song below, and let me know what your favourite Black Keys song of all time is!
