Maxi Dress: Spell & The Gypsy Collective Sayulita Frill Dress| Sandals: Urban Outfitters

Last summer when I was up at Algonquin Park camping, I had the idea of shooting a few pictures on the open road. I’m a city gal, but I loved that we were literally surrounded by nothing except trees on trees on either side up north. I’ve also always been fascinated with an open, endless road. The vastness of the never-ending road leading to endless possibilities just feels so inspiring. Oh the places we could go, the things we could do and see, and all the memories that could be made.  It wasn’t until almost a year later that we finally made these pictures happen!

On our recent camping trip over the Canada Day long weekend, we got around to shooting these pictures. Despite the fact that it was about 40 degrees Celsius out and humid AF, and my entire face and body were literally dripping sweat, I still put on this long sleeve maxi dress and stood in the middle of the road during sunset just to get these pics. And I’m so happy I did! I’m in love with the way they turned out and I hope you guys like them too!

To go along with the dreamy sunset theme, this week’s song is Sunsets Pt. 2 by SG Lewis. If you haven’t heard of SG Lewis yet, get on it! This young Liverpool based producer is on the rise and for good reason. Having already been recognized by the likes of Pharrell and Justin Timberlake as well as collaborating with G-Eazy, SG Lewis is only at the beginning of his sure to be successful musical career.
