Canada Day/4th of July Lookbook | WWVW

It’s time to celebrate the first official long weekend of the summer! If you’re in Canada, you’re celebrating Canada Day this weekend, and if you’re in America, you’ll be celebrating the 4th of July in only a few days. So of course this week, I thought it would be fun to put together a little Canada Day/4th of July lookbook. These are just ideas of what I would wear to celebrate the holiday depending on the activity/where I’m going. And in case you’re wondering, this year for the Canada Day long weekend, I’ll be heading up to Algonquin Park for a few days of good ole’ camping. Hiking trails, beach days, bonfires, and BBQs, I’m comin’ for ya!

Red Romper: Princess Polly | White Sneakers: Keds

This red romper outfit is something I would wear for a low-key Canada Day bash, where I want to be comfy but still look cute. Whether it be a backyard BBQ with friends and family, or just a stroll outside to watch the fireworks, this ensemble is so fun and playful! The red of the romper is literally the perfect shade as one of Canada’s official colours, and finished off with the white sneakers, you’ll look like a walking Canadian flag in this look (but cuter, obviously).

Smocked Crop Top: Forever 21 | Shorts: Princess Polly | Suede Mules: Steve Madden (similar)

This one may not look like your typical Canada Day ensemble, but that’s why I love it! If you’re not into anything too gimmicky, this one’s for you. Instead of an obvious bright red shade for the occasion, I decided to go for this beautiful rust/sienna colour instead. To still keep within a similar colour scheme as the nation’s official colours, I decided to pair the top with these off-white linen shorts on the bottom. Linen is great for summer because of how breathable and lightweight the material is. I would rock this outfit for a fancier Canada Day dinner/drinks/patio evening with friends. Still festive, but done in a subtle way to take you from the holiday and into the rest of the hot summer days.

Tommy Hilfiger Tee: Vintage and DIY’d | Denim Shorts: Vintage (similar) | White Sneakers: Keds

To be honest, I’ve never actually celebrated the 4th of July, but this is probably what I would wear if I was just chilling at a super casual 4th of July BBQ/picnic. What’s more American than rocking some old school Tommy and blue jeans? This vintage tee that I paid a ridiculous amount for on eBay (it was a size size XXL and I just chopped the bottom off) is perfect for the occasion. Even if I were spending the 4th of July at the pool, I would actually just throw on this tee over my bikini since it’s so oversized and comfy, making it the perfect pool cover-up. Of course, my (and everyone else’s) go-to bottoms for the summer include high waisted denim shorts. These blue ones are just so American, and therefore so perfect for the occasion. Finished off with white sneakers and there you have it, a super easy and casual 4th of July outfit!

I hope everyone is spending their long weekend with loved ones. Happy Canada Day/4th Of July! Remember to be safe and have fun! Let me know in the comments below how you’ll be spending the holiday, I would love to know what you guys are up to.
