Linen top: Vintage, Mom jeans: Topshop, Mules: Shelly’s London Malissa mule
I’m on vacation this week, but I couldn’t let a week go by without a blog post! So here we are. Keeping the outfit very simple this week. I paired a vintage linen top that I was so happy to find at the thrift with classic mom jeans. I’m obsessed with this vibrant yet almost dusty rose colour. So when I saw this pink colour peeking out of a rack at the thrift among all the granny florals, I was so excited! The fact that it’s a simple button up top made from a breathable linen material means that it would be perfect in the summer heat, but paired with high-waisted mom jeans like I have here, it takes you right into the fall as well. Layer a cozy cardigan or a jacket on top, and you can easily transition a summer piece into the cold weather too!
Since the outfit this week is so simple, I thought I would also feature a simple song. Literally. The Shins “Simple Song” is what I mean. I first discovered The Shins through the movie Garden State. As I’m sure many people will agree, Garden State is known for it’s soundtrack as much as it is for the movie itself. And there’s a reason for it. Zach Braff has curated one of the best soundtracks of indie rock music, introducing bands like The Shins to a much wider audience. Β Take a listen to Simple Song below, and while you’re at it, give the Garden State soundtrack a listen to hear more of The Shins.
