all you could want and more, it’s out there

As I mentioned last week, the weather in Toronto has been scorching hot for the last two weeks. I can’t even believe it, it’s the end of September and we’re getting all the sun, heat and humidity now! This time last year I was already bundled up in a sweater and boots. So of course I couldn’t let the warm weather pass without trying to get in as many outfit shots as possible, so here’s another one. These were taken at Allan Gardens, one of my favorite places within the heart of the city. No matter the time of year, it is a dream in there. But I thought it would be especially perfect to grab some pictures inside the cacti/succulent garden, given the heat and humidity outside.

What else would I wear while being surrounded by cacti and succulents other than this fun, yellow romper?! The color, as well as the beautiful floral embroidery goes perfectly with the vibrancy and nature of all the plants. Paired with simple brown suede mules, this romper is a fun piece on it’s own, perfect for the warm, sunny weather. Plus, rompers are great because you don’t have to think about putting an entire outfit together (since it’s just one piece), so you can focus on having fun in the sun instead!

To go along with the hot and sunny weather, this week’s song is Stop for Nothing by courtship. This is one of those songs that I can just picture myself blasting in my car, while driving with the windows down, sun shining on my face and wind blowing through my hair. A perfect, up-beat summer road trip type of song. This song gives me that carefree spirit of summer, the idea that the possibilities are endless and that we can do whatever we want. But of course, the possibilities are ALWAYS endless and we can do WHATEVER we want, WHENEVER we want.  We just need to know what it is that we want, which I’m sure we all already know. The hard part is figuring out how to get there. But like the song goes, all we could ever want (and need) is already out there in the universe! It’s how we utilize those resources that the universe has gifted us with, and how we perceive each and every situation – that’s what matters, and that’s eventually how we will get to where we want to be. Life is all about figuring shit out along the way, the answer is never right in front of us. Sometimes where we currently are may not be exactly where we want to be, but it’s exactly where we need to be because it’s where we’re meant to be.
